Paper Kite

Kites in India symbolize freedom and triumph over evil. The International Kite Festival is celebrated on the 14th January during Makar Sankranti, marking the termination of the Winter season and celebrating the beginning of Uttarayana, and the dawn of longer, ever-lengthening days.

For the launch of Gimaguas Market, we have carefully curated a selection of paper kites to honour this beautiful tradition. We frame them and use them for decorative purposes, but we invite you to fly your kite to welcome the new year with light and opportunity.
